Platform Usage Guide

This guide explains the shared analytical workflow. Specific features can provide additional controls and definitions, and their availability depends on your account and the data source.
1. Read context before values
Confirm the asset, venue or account scope, timeframe, units and timestamp before comparing values. A market-level percentile, an account valuation and a price change describe different things. Missing data, partial coverage and a zero value have different meanings.
2. Charts and tables
Use the timeframes, indicators, filters and display options the selected feature actually provides. Historical charts depend on retained observations and source coverage. Check tooltips and column labels before interpreting a line or table. A smooth line or a large number is not evidence that the underlying data is complete.
3. Watchlist and pinned pages
Only assets and pages you explicitly save belong in your personalized collections. Use their available management controls to remove or reorder entries. Larger sidebar collections have a management or View All action; they should not replace access to the essential navigation.
4. Workspaces and evidence
Use supported embedded panels for analysis alongside research notes. Record which asset, timeframe and observation informed a conclusion. Review save status and conflicts. A captured observation is a record of evidence at that point, not a promise that its numbers remain current.
5. My Portfolio
Portfolio is an optional destination. Select the intended account and product scope, review import status and distinguish native asset quantities from estimated values. A recorded account-value curve needs actual saved valuations; it does not show days for which no observations were recorded. A value change alone is not an investment return.
6. VistaAnalyst and sharing
Provide evidence and a clear question. Check calculations, sources, missing information and alternative explanations in the response. Review notes, report exports and community posts before sharing. Publishing a public post is different from keeping private research.
7. Mobile access and limitations
Use CryptoVista through its responsive web application and the browser installation flow offered on a supported device. Review browser notification and storage settings when using an installed web app. The same account permissions and analytical limitations apply on mobile.
