Security Overview
At CryptoVista, security is our top priority. We implement multiple layers of protection to ensure your account and assets remain secure at all times.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password.
Setting Up 2FA
- Navigate to Security Settings in your account dashboard
- Select "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
- Scan the QR code provided
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
- Save your backup codes in a secure location
Password Best Practices
- Use a unique password at least 12 characters long
- Include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
- Never reuse passwords from other websites or services
- Consider using a password manager to generate and store strong passwords
- Change your password regularly (every 90 days recommended)
- Never share your password with anyone
Withdrawal Security
Protect your funds with these withdrawal security features:
- Whitelist Addresses: Only allow withdrawals to pre-approved addresses
- Withdrawal Limits: Set daily and per-transaction limits
- Email Confirmation: Require email confirmation for all withdrawals
- Cooling Period: Enable a 24-hour delay for new withdrawal addresses
Account Activity Monitoring
Regularly review your account activity to detect any unauthorized access:
- Check login history for unfamiliar locations or devices
- Review transaction history for suspicious activity
- Enable notifications for login attempts and transactions
- Report any suspicious activity immediately to our support team
Phishing Protection
Protect yourself from phishing attempts:
- Always verify you're on the official CryptoVista domain
- Never click on suspicious links in emails
- CryptoVista will never ask for your password via email or support
- Enable anti-phishing code in your security settings
- Report phishing attempts to security@cryptovista.com
Device Security
- Keep your operating system and software up to date
- Use reputable antivirus and anti-malware software
- Avoid accessing your account on public Wi-Fi networks
- Use a VPN when trading from untrusted networks
- Log out of your account when using shared devices
